Coral Springs families will have the chance to trade tablets for tents by participating in Campout Coral Springs, presented in partnership with Broward Health Coral Springs. The overnight camping event will take place from Saturday, January 28 to Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Sportsplex Park (2800 Sportsplex Drive.)
The athletic fields at Sportsplex Park will be transformed into an outdoor camping space with nearly 150 20ft. x 20ft. camping spots for four-persons, tents and chairs. Happy campers can take part in a full schedule of outdoor activities and games over two days, including s’mores-making, outdoor theater-style movies, DJ/Dance Party, stargazing, animal meet-and-greets with the Sawgrass Nature Center, archery, and a kickball game. Campers can also play on the on-site playground, shoot hoops on the basketball courts, take part in a parent vs. child kickball, and lawn games.
Campers will also be entered to win a luxury glamping night in a bell tent provided by The Tailored Tent. Campers will be entered to win upon registration, and the winner will be announced in early January.
To ensure campers stay safe during the experience, Coral Springs Public Safety will be on-site and communal campfires will be controlled by Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. All activities, including overnight sleeping, will take place within a fenced field.
The event is part of a series of celebrations taking place in 2023 to honor the 60th Anniversary of the City of Coral Springs while creating memorable experiences.
This event is for Coral Springs residents only. Cost for participation is $80, which includes a camping space for four people, access to all activities, dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. Additional campers may be added at an extra cost. Registration is required and opens on Saturday, December 17 at 10 a.m. Space is limited and registration for residents is first-come, first-served.
