Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, representing Florida's 20th district, has shared her views on various topics through recent social media posts. Cherfilus-McCormick has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2022 after replacing Alcee Hastings. Her background includes a BA from Howard University and a JD from St. Thomas University.

On February 18, 2025, Cherfilus-McCormick emphasized the importance of USAID's consistency in support by stating that "USAID is not a faucet you can turn on and off."

The following day, on February 19, 2025, she expressed solidarity with federal workers: "Working with members of AFGE Local 558 to stand up against attacks on our federal workers. They keep our airports safe and running, and are truly irreplaceable. I stand with them so they can continue to deliver for #FL20."

Later that day, she celebrated Black History Month at a local event: "My team had a blast at the Black Heritage Parade in Pompano Beach! During #BHM2025, we must rally behind our communities and uplift one another. Black history is a story of resilience, and it's amazing to see that strength continue in #FL20. Black history is American history."
