Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick addresses local communities and workers' rights in latest statements

Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 20th District since 2022, recently shared a series of tweets reflecting on a range of community and social issues. These statements highlighted her engagement with local communities and her stance on collective bargaining rights, among other topics.

On March 30, 2025, Cherfilus-McCormick extended her Eid greetings to her constituents. "Eid Mubarak to our neighbors in #FL20! I wish you and your loved ones a meaningful and joyous Eid al-Fitr."

The following day, March 31, 2025, she expressed her honor at attending an event hosted by the Haitian Lawyers Association. "It was an honor to join the Haitian Lawyers Association for its 27th Annual Scholarship & Fundraising Gala! Congratulations to all of the honorees who continue to break barriers across the entire legal community. From housing eviction clinics to pro bono immigration services"

Later that day, Cherfilus-McCormick reaffirmed her support for collective bargaining rights. "Collective bargaining rights strengthen America’s workforce. I’ll always stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in labor and defend their fundamental rights."
