On March 19, 2025, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick announced her visit to West Palm Beach where she delivered $1 million aimed at developing affordable housing in Coleman Park. She emphasized the importance of addressing rising housing costs: "This week, I visited @thecityofwpb to share some good news! I delivered $1 MILLION to help develop affordable housing in Coleman Park. As housing costs rise, we must step up to the plate to make sure everyone in #FL20 has a roof over their head."

Later that day, she expressed her disapproval of measures that could complicate access for seniors and disabled Floridians to earned benefits. She stated: "Let’s be crystal clear — there is nothing 'efficient' about making it more difficult for Florida seniors and Floridians with disabilities to access the benefits they have earned." The Congresswoman warned that such actions might lead to longer wait times and diminished experiences with Social Security.
