On March 16, 2025, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick expressed gratitude towards the City of Lauderhill for visiting Washington D.C. She stated, "Thank you @CityLauderhill for coming to DC! Appreciated the opportunity to sit down and discuss how we can make sure Washington continues to deliver for #FL20 cities."

The following day, March 17, 2025, she shared her condolences upon hearing about the passing of Congresswoman Nita Lowey.
