CORRECTION: Application Portal will close on Sunday, July 17 and reopen on Thursday, August 18, 2022
The County will temporarily close the COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) application portal to provide time to review and process previously submitted applications.
The application portal will close on Sunday, July 17, 2022, and reopen on Thursday, August 18, 2022. There are several thousand partially completed applications in the portal that tenants and/or landlords must complete and submit before 11:59PM Sunday, July 17th to be considered in this round of approvals.
Any applications submitted on or before July 17th will be accepted, however applicants in active eviction or in need of relocation funds will be prioritized. Unfinished applications in the system will still be available to residents when the portal reopens on August 18. Residents who did not have the time to submit an application prior to July 17th will have additional opportunities to submit an application when the portal reopens.
Prior to and following the portal closure, applicants can still access in-person assistance with applications and documentation, if needed, at each of the four County Family Success Centers, located in Coral Springs, Hollywood/West Park, Fort Lauderdale, and Pompano Beach. Appointments are required.
Residents who have completed an application and are already working with a processor will be permitted to upload missing or supplemental documents to the portal as requested, to keep their application moving through the approval process during this time period.
For non-COVID-19-related assistance, please contact your nearest Family Success Center for services.
The County encourages residents to visit Broward.org/RentAssistance for program updates and to check the status of their application. Residents are also encouraged to submit all appeals/complaints to Cares.Broward.org/Feedback. For more information, call 954-831-3727 (ERAP) or email RentalAssistance@broward.org.
