On February 4, 2025, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick expressed gratitude for the opportunity to speak with a group of 10th-grade students at Blanche Ely High School. She emphasized the importance of young women in shaping the future, stating: "Thank you to @blanche_ely for letting me talk to your awesome 10th-grade class! Women are truly the future, so I was honored to get to speak directly to so many bright, young girls right here in #FL20. I am so excited to watch these young women take hold of their future!"

She warned against reducing USAID's influence, suggesting it could benefit rival nations: "#USAID is our soft power in action.
