FPL (Florida Power & Light) has begun their LED lighting upgrade program in Coconut Creek and completion is expected by November 1st. These new lights will increase lighting and safety on our roadways while reducing our current energy usage by approximately 265,000 kilowatt hours per year. This equates to the producing 187 metric tons less of CO2 per year or the equivalent of 40 less cars on the road. They are also Dark Sky compliant helping protect the creatures in our environment, all of which falls within our 2030 Vision goals.
