On February 7, 2025, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick expressed gratitude to the Florida Association of Community Health Centers for awarding her the "2025 Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate Award." She emphasized the significant role that Community Health Centers (CHCs) play in supporting communities and affirmed her commitment to backing their efforts in delivering essential healthcare services. "Thank you to the Florida @nachc for presenting me with their 2025 Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate Award! Our CHCs do so much for our community, and I am proud to support them in delivering critical healthcare to #FL20".
