Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, representing Florida's 20th district, has shared several updates on her activities and legislative efforts via social media. Her posts reflect her engagement with the community and ongoing legislative priorities.

On November 12, 2024, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick marked Veteran's Day by visiting her district to express gratitude to veterans for their service. She stated, "In honor of Veteran's Day, I toured the district to connect with our veterans and thank them for their unwavering service and courage to our country. Freedom is not free. Thank you to @cityofplantation, @cityofsunrise, and North Lauderdale for honoring our #FL20 veterans."

The following day, November 13, 2024, she urged the Senate to pass a significant piece of legislation that would impact public servants in her district. She tweeted, "The Senate must pass this act so @POTUS can sign this act into law and securely deliver millions of overdue benefits back to our public servants in #FL20."

On the same day, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick announced the passage of the bipartisan Social Security Fairness Act. She expressed its importance for educators and first responders in her district: "Last night, I joined my colleagues to pass the bipartisan #SocialSecurityFairnessAct. Our teachers and first responders in #FL20 deserve to receive the benefits they paid into. This act will return these earned benefits to Floridians."
