Funds Available for Homeowner Rehabilitation and Purchase Assistance Program

The City of Deerfield Beach has federal and state funding available through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership (HOME), and State Housing Initiative Partnership Program (SHIP).  Homeowner Rehabilitation Program The Homeowner Rehabilitation Program is for owner-occupied residents who are experiencing conditions in and around their homes that pose a threat to their health, safety, and welfare. The homeowner rehabilitation program is limited to low-to-moderate-income homeowners. Eligible homeowners can receive up to $50,000 of assistance.Purchase Assistance Program The Purchase Assistance Program is to assist eligible low-to-moderate-income homebuyers with a deferred payment loan to be applied towards the costs of purchasing existing or newly constructed (with a Certificate of Occupancy) eligible affordable housing. Eligible costs include the following: down payment, closing costs, mortgage buy down, and other costs associated with purchasing a home. Eligible housing includes single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, eligible manufactured homes, Planned Unit Developments (PUDs), and villas. Eligible homeowners can receive up to $50,000 of assistance.
