On April 10, Cherfilus-McCormick expressed her pleasure in meeting with Bahrain's Ambassador Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa. She stated her intent to work on enhancing security and prosperity in the region, reflecting her focus on diplomatic relations and regional stability.

Later that day, Cherfilus-McCormick highlighted her concerns about national security related to the flow of arms to Haiti and the Caribbean. She emphasized that "all potential options must be on the table to crack down on the growing flow of arms". She introduced the CAST Act with Representative Wes Bell to ensure that America is equipped to address the issue of illegal gun trafficking.

In her subsequent tweet, Cherfilus-McCormick addressed the issue of exposure to toxic chemicals faced by U.S. servicemembers and their families. She stated that "when America sends our servicemembers to war, we make a sacred promise to care for these heroes and their families".
