Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, representing Florida's 20th district since 2022, has been active on social media, sharing updates on her legislative efforts and expressing gratitude to her constituents. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she currently resides in Miramar and holds degrees from Howard University and St. Thomas University.

On November 27, 2024, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick shared her support for the PACT Act, which was signed into law by President Biden. She stated: "Signed into law by @POTUS, the PACT Act expands VA benefits and services for veterans exposed to toxins. I am proud to have cosponsored this landmark legislation, and I will continue fighting to ensure that our #FL20 veterans can thrive after dedicating so much to our country."
