Santa Fe College’s Division of Student Affairs is pleased to offer Mental Health First Aid Training in partnership with Meridian Behavioral Healthcare. This training helps faculty and staff understand how to help students, visitors or staff members who may be experiencing a mental health-related crisis or problem on campus. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis and addictions. As we focus on continuous improvement, service excellence and campus safety in an environment where many people are experiencing mental health issues or problems, this 8-hour course helps to equip staff with the tools needed to safely intervene and make appropriate referrals.
The next on-campus training will be Friday, Sept. 23, from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in S-29. Lunch will be provided to all participants. Faculty and staff may sign up through this link. Registration will be capped at 30 attendees.
