Santa Fe College’s East Gainesville Initiative (EGI) will host its annual Community Forum Thursday, September 22, at 6 p.m. at SF’s Blount Hall in downtown Gainesville. At the forum, the college will be celebrating 20 years of EGI, commending the successes and looking toward the future.
For two decades, EGI has lived up to its mission of partnering for a positive change. EGI is dedicated to fighting poverty and assisting citizens throughout the county by offering educational outreach for all ages, vocational training, community empowerment events and access to today’s necessary technology.
This annual event shares the progress that the college is making toward our equity and diversity goals, and relies on the input and participation from parents and interested community members to offer suggestions for what EGI should be doing to empower participants.
Keynote Speakers for the EGI Forum will be SF President Dr. Paul Broadie II, and SF Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Naima Brown.
