First half of 2022: Fort Lauderdale experienced a 15.5% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Fort Lauderdale rose by $62,000 while total sales decreased by 16.8 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 3,131 homes sold, with a median sale price of $462,000 - a 15.5 percent increase over the $400,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 3,764 homes sold in Fort Lauderdale in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Fort Lauderdale for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,483, approximately 0.8 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
