Fort Lauderdale median home prices rose by 18.9% in May

The median sale price of a home sold in May in Fort Lauderdale rose by $74,500 while total sales decreased by 12.8 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May, there were 564 homes sold, with a median sale price of $469,500 - an 18.9 percent increase over the $395,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 647 homes sold in Fort Lauderdale in May 2021.

The median sales tax in Fort Lauderdale for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,483, approximately 0.7 percent of the median home sale price for May.
