Mental Health America Vision Board Activity on April 5

44

City of Deerfield Beach recently issued the following announcement.

Tuesday, April 5, 2022

We welcome Latoya Kelly and Reginald Ponder to the Teen Center this month from Mental Health America of Southeast Florida! They are Community Mental Health Workers that interact with youth, families and community leaders. Their efforts focus on assessing, advocating and linking families to needed supports. The activity they will be directing teens through is a vision board. This is a form of art therapy and will allow youth to visualize their hopes and dream. The vision board can be used as a wellness tool to help youth stay motivated and hopeful.

Must be a Teen Center member to RSVP by Monday, April 4th, 2022. If you are not a member yet please give us a call to schedule your tour with a parent/guardian. An application will be provided to you. The membership is free! Once all forms are complete an I.D. card will be given to the teen along with a calendar.
