City of Fort Lauderdale, FL issued the following announcement on Dec. 22
The City of Fort Lauderdale’s Neighbor Support team assists the community year-round. Partnering with local organizations and charities is central to the office's mission to strengthen community.
During this holiday season, many of the City’s local businesses and neighbors have reached out asking how they can help.
Recently, the Director of Sales and Community Marketing from Island City Traders, Aaron Rochester, reached out to the City expressing the wish to donate Christmas trees, ornaments and gift cards to those in need. The City connected Rochester with the Director of Development at SunServe, Terry Dyer.
SunServe is a nonprofit agency that provides programs including mental health counseling, women’s services, housing case management, senior day center and LGBTQ+ proficiency training to the community.
Island City Traders also donated Christmas trees to Kids in Distress.
