City of Deerfield Beach issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
The Department of Parks and Recreation will be hosting a free 6-week beginner smartphone course beginning Tuesday, November 2, 2021. The course will be held at Highlands
Community Center from 10 AM to 12 PM every Tuesday for six weeks and instructed by The Lighthouse of Broward.
Topics will include phone orientation, making and receiving phone calls, Siri, voicemail, texting, and multiple other applications. Candidates must own their own activated
smartphone and bring it to each class.
