Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, representing Florida’s 20th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of tweets addressing important political and social issues. The tweets focus on the significance of voting, opposition to Project 2025, and its potential impact on middle-class families.

On November 4, 2024, Cherfilus-McCormick emphasized the importance of participating in elections by stating: “The freedom to vote is a fundamental part of being an American. Tomorrow is Election Day. Have you made your plan to vote? Visit https://t.co/Wj1lBSoTlz for important information on how, when, and where to cast your ballot.”

Later that day, she expressed concerns about Project 2025: “#Project2025 will drastically change our lives for the worse. Democrats are fighting hard to lower costs, grow the middle class, and defend a woman’s freedom to make her own reproductive health care decisions. H.Res.1386”

In another tweet posted on November 4, Cherfilus-McCormick warned about the economic implications of Project 2025: “Project 2025 will harm middle-class families by increasing taxes and cutting essential programs for families and seniors. We must protect the resources our communities need to thrive, but Project 2025 threatens to take these vital supports away. #StopProject202 H.Res.1386”
