Cherfilus-McCormick has represented Florida’s 20th District in Congress since 2022 after succeeding Alcee Hastings. She previously served in the Florida House of Representatives and holds degrees from Howard University and St. Thomas University. Born in Brooklyn in 1979, she now resides in Miramar.
