On April 20, Cherfilus-McCormick posted her wishes for Easter, emphasizing the themes of reflection, gratitude, and new beginnings. She expressed, “Happy Easter! I hope that today is filled with reflection, gratitude, and new beginnings.”
Following this, on April 21, she highlighted the meaning of faith and service through the example of Pope Francis. Her tweet articulated, “Pope Francis embodied the true meaning of faith and what it means to be a devoted servant of Jesus Christ. She stated, “Nobody should be forced to experience two mass shootings in a single lifetime — let alone one. Yet this is the reality for some. We need to pass common-sense legislation that puts an end to this reign of terror.”
