On March 19, 2025, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick expressed concern over the threats to Medicaid and Social Security, stating that these programs are under attack and could impact the quality of life for households in her district. She mentioned hosting a town hall in West Palm Beach to discuss how she is actively working to protect these essential programs. “Medicaid and Social Security are under attack — threatening the quality of life for households across #FL20.”

Later that day, she highlighted her support for survivors of domestic violence by acknowledging Women In Distress as the only nationally accredited, state-certified full-service domestic violence center serving Broward County. She reiterated her commitment to advocating for necessary resources for survivors. “.@womenindistress is the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full-service domestic violence center serving Broward.”

In another post on March 19, 2025, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick announced that internship applications for the summer were open at both her DC and District offices. She encouraged individuals interested in gaining experience in communications, legislative affairs, or community outreach to apply. “Internship applications for the summer are NOW OPEN!”
