Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, representing Florida’s 20th district, recently shared her thoughts on various observances and issues via social media. Her posts reflect her commitment to recognizing cultural heritage, addressing healthcare affordability, and supporting veterans.

On November 7, 2024, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick acknowledged “This #NationalAmericanHeritageMonth, I’m proud to recognize the history, culture, and strength of Native American communities. Native Americans have shaped our country in countless ways, and this month is a chance to honor that legacy.”

Later the same day, she addressed the financial challenges faced by families due to insulin costs. She stated “November is #NationalDiabetesMonth. Rising insulin costs have placed financial burdens on families, but the Biden-Harris Administration’s $35 cap on insulin prices relieved millions. I support efforts to make essential medications more affordable for everyone in District 20.”

On November 8, 2024, Congresswoman Cherfilus-McCormick highlighted her dedication to veterans and military families by noting “November is National Veterans and Military Families Month. Many brave people dedicate years to preserving our freedom, supported by their families. As a proud member of @vetaffairsdems, I am committed to helping our veterans and their families thrive in the nation they defended.”
