On Tuesday, April 1, former Pompano Beach High School standout Juliana Hooker’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Western Illinois Leathernecks.
The game took place at Eichelberger Field. This was their first matchup against the Leathernecks this season.
The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. at Sharon J. Drysdale Field against Northwestern Wildcats.
