Congressman Jared Moskowitz, representing Florida’s 23rd district, recently shared a series of updates on his activities via social media. Moskowitz, who has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Ted Deutch, provided insights into his engagements with students, international diplomats, and union leaders.
On May 5, 2025, Congressman Moskowitz expressed his delight at meeting students from St. Mark’s Episcopal School in Fort Lauderdale during their trip to Washington D.C. He conveyed encouragement for their academic pursuits by stating “Good to see these students from St. Mark’s Episcopal School in Fort Lauderdale while they were on their DC trip! Hope you all finish this semester strong – summer’s right around the corner.”
Later that day, Moskowitz met with Swedish Ambassador Urban Ahlin. He acknowledged Sweden as one of the United States’ rapidly expanding economic partners and appreciated the ambassador’s visit to discuss bilateral economic ties. In his words: “It was a pleasure meeting with Swedish Ambassador Urban Ahlin. Sweden is one of our fastest-growing economic partners, and I thank the Ambassador for coming to discuss how we can continue to strengthen our nations’ economic relationship.”
Further engagements on Capitol Hill included discussions with leaders from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM Union) hailing from Florida. Congressman Moskowitz emphasized the importance of workers represented by such unions and reaffirmed his support for them in Congress: “I had a great talk with some @IAM_Union leaders when they came to Capitol Hill from Florida. Workers like these keep this nation running, and I’m proud to have their backs in Congress.”
Jared Moskowitz was born in Coral Springs, Florida in 1980 and resides in Parkland. He graduated from George Washington University with a BA in 2003 and obtained a JD from Nova Southeastern University in 2007.
