In a post dated March 28, 2025, Moskowitz recognized Catherine Givens, who became the first woman to serve as City Manager of Coral Springs, Florida, earlier this year. A 4th generation Coral Springs resident, she embodies the community’s values while bringing a global perspective to her leadership.”
The congressman also highlighted the contributions of Debbi Hixon, a Countywide School Board Member for Broward Schools, posted on the same day. Moskowitz acknowledged her role in nurturing the next generation of leaders. “Debbi Hixon is supporting the next generation of leaders as one of two Countywide School Board Members for @browardschools. She began her career in education in 1989 and has a long history of teaching, coaching, and educational leadership.”
Additionally, Moskowitz underscored the work of Captain Michele McCardle of the Broward Sheriff’s Office in another post, applauding her contributions to community safety since she started in 2001. McCardle’s career features roles in child protective investigations and special victims units, with a promotion to Parkland District captain in 2017. “Captain Michele McCardle has been keeping our community safe since she began her career in the @browardsheriff’s Office in 2001.
