Congressman Jared Moskowitz, who has represented Florida’s 23rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently shared several updates regarding his work and perspectives on community and national issues. Moskowitz, a native of Coral Springs with a background in emergency management and public service at both state and local levels, addressed constituents through a series of posts on social media.
On July 10, 2025, Moskowitz acknowledged the anniversary of Coral Springs, stating “Happy 62nd birthday to the city of @CoralSpringsFL! I’m proud to have my district office located in Coral Springs City Hall, and it’s an honor to serve such a vibrant community in Congress. Wishing the city many more years of prosperity!”
The following day, on July 11, 2025, he expressed concern over federal emergency response efforts related to flooding in Texas. In his statement he said “As a former emergency management director, I’ve been alarmed by how Sec. Noem has handled the tragic flooding in Texas. I’m calling for an investigation into reports of FEMA’s delayed response. Congress has to get answers, strengthen emergency management, and protect the public.”
Later that same day, Moskowitz visited Sinai Residences in Boca Raton to engage with residents about senior care needs. He wrote “I stopped by Sinai Residences in Boca Raton to meet with residents, tour the community, and hear what additional support our senior living centers need. From wellness resources to health services, it’s vital our seniors have access to the tools to live with dignity and security.”
Jared Moskowitz was born in Coral Springs in 1980 and resides in Parkland. He earned his BA from George Washington University (2003) and JD from Nova Southeastern University (2007). Before joining Congress after succeeding Ted Deutch in 2023, he served both as a member of the Florida House of Representatives (2012–2019) and as Broward County Commissioner (2022–2023).
