Jared Moskowitz, a representative of Florida’s 23rd district in the U.S. Congress, has shared his insights and concerns in a series of recent tweets. The tweets touch on topics ranging from security grants for places of worship to national security breaches and the importance of the postal service. Moskowitz’s engagement on these issues underscores his ongoing commitment to his constituents and broader national concerns.
On March 26, 2025, Moskowitz reflected on his past role with Florida’s Division of Emergency Management, emphasizing the significance of FEMA’s non-profit security grants. “When I ran Florida’s Division of Emergency Management, I helped facilitate FEMA’s non-profit security grants and know just how critical they are for protecting houses of worship. At a time when synagogues particularly are under threat, I’m urging against cuts to these grants.”
Later that day, Moskowitz addressed a potential national security issue, urging House Speaker Johnson to take decisive action. “I’m calling on @SpeakerJohnson to form the House Select Committee on ‘Houthi PC Small Group.’ Sending war plans on an unsecure platform and failing to come clean about it put American lives at risk and undermined national security. We must restore public trust and get answers.”
On March 27, 2025, Moskowitz shifted focus to a matter affecting many Floridians, the postal service’s role in their daily lives. “Floridians rely on the postal service to receive everything from lifesaving medication to their Social Security checks, and it happens thanks to dedicated postal workers like Dot. Great to talk with her about the importance of protecting this critical resource.”
