Congressman Jared Moskowitz, representing Florida’s 23rd district, has recently shared his views on several issues via social media. These tweets highlight his stance on healthcare and education, as well as his legislative actions concerning vital assistance programs.
On May 13, 2025, Congressman Moskowitz expressed strong opposition to a healthcare plan that he believes will negatively impact millions of Americans. “This reckless plan rips lifesaving healthcare away from millions of people who depend on Medicaid in red and blue areas alike, including more than 90,000 people in my district alone,” he stated. He questioned the plan’s effectiveness in promoting public health.
Later that day, Moskowitz reflected on the completion of his Youth Cabinet meeting for the academic year 2024-25. He conveyed gratitude towards participating students and congratulated those graduating. “Thank you to all the students who’ve participated and represented their generation so well,” he wrote.
In another post on May 13, Moskowitz announced his support for a petition in the House aimed at safeguarding Medicaid and food assistance programs. “I’ve signed onto a petition in the House to force a vote that would protect Medicaid and food assistance programs,” he declared. He challenged House Republicans to take action if they truly believe their budget does not cut these essential services.
Jared Moskowitz has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Ted Deutch. Prior to this role, he was part of the Florida House of Representatives from 2012 to 2019 and served on the Broward County Commission from 2022 to 2023. Born in Coral Springs, Florida, Moskowitz holds degrees from George Washington University and Nova Southeastern University.
