Congressman Jared Moskowitz, representing Florida’s 23rd district since 2023, has recently shared his views on several international and domestic issues through a series of tweets. Born in Coral Springs, Florida, Moskowitz has an extensive background in public service, having served in the Florida House of Representatives and the Broward County Commission before joining Congress.
On June 3, 2025, Congressman Moskowitz addressed the issue of the Muslim Brotherhood being designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). He noted that “Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE all declared the Muslim Brotherhood an FTO over a decade ago, and France is considering its own action.” He suggested that following this example could assist the United States in disrupting the group’s global recruitment and financing efforts.
The following day, June 4, 2025, Moskowitz expressed concerns about trade relations with key allies. He tweeted that “Our allies Israel & Ukraine are fighting against adversaries that want them erased from the map.” He argued that imposing tariffs on these nations exacerbates their challenges and jeopardizes U.S. economic and national security. To address this issue, he introduced legislation to exempt Israel and Ukraine from such tariffs.
Later on June 4th, Moskowitz critiqued the current state of FEMA under Secretary Noem’s leadership. In his tweet he questioned FEMA’s preparedness by stating: “What’s my confidence in the state of FEMA right now? To start out: — 20% of the workforce has been cut — Sec. Noem is holding up $10B in already-approved relief — FEMA’s Administrator didn’t even know we have a hurricane season”. His remarks highlight significant concerns regarding FEMA’s capacity to manage disaster response effectively.
Jared Moskowitz holds a BA from George Washington University and a JD from Nova Southeastern University. At age 42, he resides in Parkland with his family.
