Congressman Jared Moskowitz, representing Florida’s 23rd district, has been active on social media, addressing several issues and events of public interest. His recent posts cover topics ranging from hurricane preparedness to religious observances and condemnations of violence.
On June 1, 2025, Congressman Moskowitz highlighted the start of the hurricane season. He urged his constituents to prepare by ensuring they have a disaster supply kit and directed them to additional resources for staying prepared. “Today marks the beginning of hurricane season. Make sure your household has a disaster supply kit and learn more about how else to stay prepared at https://t.co/1N3fyKMIIG.”
Later that day, he extended greetings for Shavuot, a Jewish holiday commemorating the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. In his message, Moskowitz emphasized reflection and growth during this time. “Chag Sameach to all those celebrating Shavuot — a time for reflection and growth as we mark the receiving of the Torah at Mount Sinai.”
In another post on June 1, 2025, Moskowitz expressed concern over a terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado. He described it as an antisemitic attack on peaceful protestors just before Shavuot and called for strong legal action against such acts. He linked the incident to calls for globalizing intifada on social media platforms. “I’m closely monitoring the terrorist attack in Boulder, CO. This vile, antisemitic attack on peaceful protestors—just before Shavuot—must be condemned & responded to with the fullest extent of the law.”
Jared Moskowitz has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Ted Deutch. Before his congressional tenure, he was part of the Florida House of Representatives from 2012 to 2019 and served on the Broward County Commission from 2022 to 2023.
