Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 20th district, shared her recent engagements and perspectives through a series of tweets. These posts covered topics from veterans’ housing to support for mothers and babies, as well as honoring service members on Armed Forces Day.

On May 16, 2025, Cherfilus-McCormick posed a question to the Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Collins regarding the importance of housing for veterans. She emphasized that “if you were willing to put your life on the line for our freedom, the last place you should be sleeping is on the street.” The tweet can be accessed here.

Later that day, she acknowledged Senator Rick Scott’s appreciation for soup joumou while celebrating March of Dimes’ success in raising $1.5 million.
