Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 20th district, has recently shared her views and actions on various matters through a series of tweets. Serving in Congress since 2022 after replacing Alcee Hastings, Cherfilus-McCormick continues to address pressing issues affecting her constituents and beyond.

On March 22, 2025, she expressed concern about an unspecified decision impacting certain groups. In her tweet, she stated, “I continue to remain in communication with those who would bear the brunt of this decision and am strongly urging the Administration to reverse course immediately.”

The following day, March 23, 2025, she reaffirmed her commitment to healthcare access through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). She tweeted: “The Affordable Care Act saves lives. We will not go back to a time when people with preexisting health conditions could be denied coverage. I remain committed to building on the ACA’s promises and possibilities that began on this day 15 years ago.”

Later that day, Cherfilus-McCormick recognized the musical group Carimi for their contributions to American and Haitian culture. She remarked in her tweet: “We had the honor of recognizing Carimi for their incredible contribution to American and Haitian music and culture. Their talent, passion, and ability to unite us through their powerful sound will always inspire. Thank you for leaving a lasting legacy!”
