Youth must be members of the Teen Center. Membership is free. We ask parents or guardians to give us a call for a tour to begin the process!

The City of Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation Departments welcomes Living Skills In Schools to the Teen Center in March! They offer programs that are age-appropriate, research-informed and delivered by Licensed Mental Health Professionals. LSIS programming also aligns with Florida state standards for health education. The Addiction 101 presentation introduces students to the neurological and psychological foundations of addiction. This includes an exploration of dopamine’s role in cravings, tolerance and withdrawal. Students will explore the psychological progression of addiction from experimentation to dependency into addiction. Included in the discussion, students will explore their personal attitudes towards substance use.
